eCommerce Server Software

Summary of Intershop's first world-wide user conference (Intershop Open 99, Global E-Commerce Summit) in c't Magazine issue 22/99 on page 64. The article is not available on-line.
Comparison of 3 commerce server products from Microsoft, iCat and Intershop in c't Magazin issue 11/97: Shop in the Box. The test results are a bit outdated by now, since Intershop and Microsoft have released several updates and iCat disappeared from the market. However, the checklists contained in the article may still serve you well when trying to determine which product is best for you.

ePayment
I'm researching ePayment methods that are available for actual use in Germany. My results as of 1998 can be found in c't Magazine Sonderheft "Geld Online", page 96 (October 98). A previous version can be found in c't Magazine issue 11/98, page 152. It includes TeleCash, CyberCash, CyberCoin, First Virtual, eCash, MilliCent as well as SET in general. Unfortunately, this article is not available on-line on the c't site.
In 1998, an eCommerce / eBusiness congress took place in Frankfurt/M., Germany on March 30 and 31, hosted by ComMunic. There was a good coverage of the practical aspects of selling on-line and the techniques and tools required for successful eCommerce. In my contribution, I gave an overview of the ePayment methods that are currently usable in Germany. Here is the summary (in German).
Foundations of eCommerce
Buying and selling used or ancient books via the WWW - this is the topic of my most recent article. Having submitted it in November 1999, I'm still waiting for it to be published in "buch & bild - Magazin fuer Buch und Grafiksammler".
My 4-page non-technical summary of criteria for successfully implementing eCommerce has been published as part of GVL's Internet Guide (Gesellschaft für Verlagsmarketing und Logistik mbH, Hannover) in November 1999. The article is not available on-line.
